Sustainable Design Practices
We recognize that technology is rapidly changing the way architectural and design services are delivered, and how it can improve collaboration between the owner, design, and construction teams. To promote this integration, our professional services are rendered using Autodesk Revit, which has the capacity to provide Building Information Modeling (BIM), a model-based technology linked with a database of project information (source: AIA). Using BIM improves visualization, productivity, and coordination among the project team members.
Sutter Amador Hospital–Irene Marie infusion center
The Sutter Amador Irene Marie Infusion Center was designed to provide infusion therapy in an environment tailored to the varied needs of patients. Recognizing that the ideal infusion environment varies significantly from patient to patient as well as visit to visit, the design responds with flexibility in the infusion care areas. This flexibility ranges from private and semiprivate treatment spaces to an open treatment area when a more communal experience is desired.
Each treatment area provides access to individual audio-visual and lighting controls to allow the patient to further customize their individual environment.
Through a large expanse of windows, natural light and beautiful views of the surrounding hills are integrated into the design; photography and glass art from local artists further offers a calming, peaceful environment.
